Planning to operate a temporary food stall, stand or operate a food vehicle at an event, market or fixed site? Find out about the application process and obtaining a permit here.
If you wish to set up a temporary food stall or operate as a mobile food vendor at an event or market within the City of Armadale you will need to complete and submit an application for a temporary food stall form to the City.
Temporary food stall applications must be submitted a minimum of 10 working days prior to the event.
Commercial food businesses operating a stall or food vehicle, must be registered as food business under the Food Act 2008. To apply for a temporary food stall permit, you will need to submit a completed application for a temporary food stall along with the following supporting documents:
Copy of food business Certificate of Registration under the
Food Act 2008
Detailed floor plan of the layout of your stall or mobile food vehicle
Copy of your current Public Liability Insurance Certificate
Food safety Training Certificate(s)

Please note: There are no fees for not-for-profit vendors
If you want to set up a sausage sizzle or cake stall on Election Day to raise funds and you are a charitable or not-for-profit organisation, sporting association or educational institution, you are NOT required to apply for a temporary food stall permit. However this is based on the condition that:
You have permission from the school etc to set up and trade.
All food handlers comply with requirements of the Food Safety Standards.
All food required to be cooked before consumption must be cooked onsite.
Any cakes, biscuits etc must not contain fresh cream, custard or other dairy products.
Ingredients list must be available to view for any cakes, biscuits etc.
Foods containing allergens must be on labels and declared to customers (most common include wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, fish, eggs, milk, soy, sesame seeds and lupin).
Foods containing allergens must be kept separate from other foods.
